Dr. Ramasamy Mayilmurugan

Dr. R. Mayilmurugan received his PhD from the Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirapalli, under the supervision of distinguished bioinorganic chemist Prof. M. Palaniandavar, FNA, FASc, and M.Sc. from Madurai Kamaraj University (ANJA College). He was awarded a gold medal for securing the first rank in his M.Sc. He has done his Post-Doctoral Fellowship with Prof. Nadia C. Mösch-Zanetti, University of Graz, Austria, and his research focused on Biomimetic chemistry molybdenum-containing oxo transferase enzymes and the reaction mechanism. Then, he worked on iron-based PARACET MRI contrast agents at Prof. Janet Morrow’s group (Associate Editor, Inorganic Chemistry), University at Buffalo, SUNY, the USA, with his Fulbright Scholarship grant. Also, he was an INSA-DFG visiting scientist at Prof. Peter Comba’s laboratory at Heidelberg University, Germany. Before joining IIT Bhilai, he was an Assistant Professor at Madurai Kamaraj University.
